Picking the Right Foam for Outdoors

Foam is one of those materials you know is doing its job when you take it for granted. It’s just supposed to be there to make life comfortable. And part of comfort, is forgetting it’s even there. Of course, when foam stops doing its job, it becomes immediately noticeable as well. Outdoor foam is a perfect example of this. When it’s working, you get to sit and comfort while you take in some sun and enjoy nature. But when it stops working, you’re left to suffer outside. It’s as simple as that.

It’s important to choose the right consistency of foam in order to get the support you need at all times. But this is largely the easy part. The actual type of foam plays an even bigger part. Dry fast foam, for example, is a necessary choice for outdoors. Made with larger cells than other foams, this kind is uniquely able to take on large amounts of water without losing its structural integrity.

Furthermore, this material is antimicrobial. It won’t matter how dry the foam is if it becomes a hotbed for different microorganisms. That kind of growth is a short path to ruined furniture or much worse.

If you like spending time outdoors, it makes sense to buy the right kind of furniture. But be sure you understand what that entails or you’ll be buying more work and frustration.
