A Guide to Drink Recipes

If you are trying to lose weight, you more than likely have already given up some of your favorite foods.  But the good news is that you do not have to part with some of your favorite beverages, such as alcohol and your favorite protein shakes recipes.  When we try to work on our fat loss, we think about the calories in a banana and that we have to live on foods and beverages that are bland.  This is simply not true.  Here are some easy recipes for drinks that taste good and are good for you as well.

First we will cover protein shake recipes.  Protein shakes are good for you for a couple of reasons.  The first is that they are full of essential vitamins which are good for your body.  Another reason is that these shakes fill you up so you are not hungry all the time.  If you like soy, then you will love this shake recipe.  It is simple to make calling for one scoop of protein powder, one cup of soy milk, one teaspoon sugar free chocolate syrup and ½ teaspoon cinnamon.  Blend everything in a blender and serve chilled.  Fruit shakes are also good.  Blend in a blender 2 cups fat free milk, fresh or frozen fruits such as bananas or strawberries, a pinch of nutmeg and a drop or two of honey.  Serve this chilled as well.

Drink recipes that are low in calories are also delicious and simple to make.  To make low calorie alcoholic drinks like a pina colada cooler, mix together 1 ½ ounces coconut flavored rum, 3 ounces pineapple juice, 4 ounces sparkling water and one tablespoon Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut Lite.  Serve over ice and enjoy.
